Beginning in October 2022, the TASFA application will be available to complete and submit 100% online.

Every year, college access professionals work together to ensure FAFSA/TASFA applications are completed and submitted, and there is a general sense of confusion and frustration as to why the TASFA lacks an online application. Well, it looks like the wait may finally be over! In October 2022, the TASFA will officially be available electronically. This transition will streamline the work of all parties involved and provide TASFA applicants with a simplified financial aid process.

There are not many details readily available yet regarding the electronic TASFA, but several key pieces of information have already been shared:

1. The TASFA application will be accessible online, and students will be able to send the application to up to ten (10) institutions at a time.
2. The online application will include validation checks to ensure essential information is inputted.
3. There will be help icons to provide information on common questions.
4. The TASFA application will be able to be downloaded and printed.
5. It will be possible to access TASFA data through the ApplyTexas Counselor Suite.

This announcement is an exciting development for the 2023-2024 financial aid application cycle.
