STRATEGIC PLAN
TRANSFORMING
TEXAS PUBLIC
& HIGHER
EDUCATION
Strategy 2025 Goal
Contribute 85,000 new higher education degrees and certificates to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s “Building A Talent-Strong Texas” by 2025, primarily focusing on African American, Latinx, and economically disadvantaged students.
Teaching & Leading 2030 Goal
By 2030, Educate Texas will contribute at least 100,000 effective educators from diverse backgrounds by developing and advancing programs, policies, and partnerships that attract, prepare, develop, and retain teachers and education leaders.
Efforts will continue to focus on five key impact areas:
Create lasting change by developing and proving solutions through programs, instilling change through policy, and convening the right partnerships for action.
Work with communities and partners across the state with special focus on three key regions.
Track data and support efforts from cradle-to-career with an emphasis on three key metrics.
Help provide Texas students — regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or background — with unparalleled opportunities, a flourishing workforce, and an unrivaled economy.
Educate Texas, an initiative of Communities Foundation of Texas, is the trusted change agent in education that is thinking bigger by proving solutions through programs and practices, instilling change through policy, and convening the right partnerships and networks for action.
