Innovation Design Entrepreneurship Academy (IDEA), Dallas, TX

Innovation Design Entrepreneurship Academy (IDEA) at James W. Fannin provides a personalized education for every student. At IDEA, students are engaged in content that is appropriately rigorous and challenging for their needs, interests, and skill sets. A smaller school of around 250 learners, IDEA focuses on next-generation skills like innovative thinking, articulate communication and collaboration, and receives strong support from the personalized learning department. The focus on personalized learning pushes IDEA to have a strong commitment to learning through internships and mentorship. Starting in tenth grade, students look in the community to find their interest in choosing an internship. In addition to internships, students foster self-discovery through daily advisory and AVID training.
