One Stone, Boise, ID

At One Stone, the majority of the board members are teenagers. Working with the adults, they pride themselves on understanding kids and helping students to become better leaders. Opened in 2008, One Stone equips students with real world learning skills through project-based learning centered on non-profit projects. Firmly believing that the student voice is critical to connect them to their passion and purpose, One Stone creates experiences that are attractive, creative and collaborative. Guided by their "Bold Learning OBjectives" (BLOB), teachers facilitate learning as a partner to heighten student voice and anchor that voice with skills, creativity, mindset, and knowledge.
