The texas learning exchange edtech leadership guide
The Texas Learning Exchange (TxLx) Edtech Leadership Guide is an effort to support Texas education leaders with the best resources and guidance for making effective changes in a thoughtful way during an open-ended season of change. District leaders will be able to identify edtech entry points to reinvent the learning experience with an eye towards equity and excellence for all students. The guide offers guidance and recommendations on topics such as learner-centered leadership for edtech, tech stack evaluation, providing equity through technological access and student data management as it relates to your district and the unique needs of the diverse learners and teachers you serve.
The Edtech Leadership Guide is written to align with and extend the strategic planning you and your teams had been working on prior to the pandemic. This also takes into account the “triage” maneuvers that you have taken since, and will allow you to merge them into an innovative approach for delivering teaching and learning with equity. To serve your learning community well and keep the work learner-centered, we believe it is vital to reflect upon what worked and what did not work, what ideas have yet to be implemented and why, and what needs are being expressed by all roles in the school or district. Ideas that cannot be immediately implemented can find a place in continued planning for the Spring of 2021, leading to a more equitable learning experience in the 2021-2022 school year.
