TxCAN Student Supports Fall 2024

TxCAN is excited to continue to partner with uAspire this Fall to provide FREE financial aid workshops and live support to help students and families complete their financial aid forms.  

The Financial Aid Help Desk 

Students and Families can text Hello to (469) 940-5412 and a uAspire Advisor will text them back within 24 hours (Mon-Fri) to help them complete the FAFSA and answer other financial aid questions they may have.  

Support is provided via text or Zoom and can be provided to students and families in both Spanish and English! 

As we kick off the school year, students and parents can now take advantage of the help desk to create their FSA IDs and learn about what they will need in order to prepare for financial aid forms, which go live this December.   

Virtual Financial Aid Workshops 

Live interactive webinars provide students and families with information and support on Scholarships, the CSS Profile, and FAFSA, as well as opportunities to ask questions and access resources.  

• Scholarship Basics and Tips: This guide introduces students and families to scholarship opportunities, their requirements, and how to search for them. 

• • December 19th, 2024 

• CSS Profile Walkthrough : Introduces students and families to the CSS Profile, including what’s needed, how to complete it, and the next steps. 

• • October 16th, 2024 

• FAFSA Walkthrough: Walks students and families through the FAFSA, explaining the information needed and how to answer questions. This presentation supports students attending college and students entering registered apprenticeships, training programs and technical colleges.

 Student + Family Resource Library
